Two offers with the same salary can be worth very different amounts once you count bonus, stock, sign-on money and benefits. Enter what each offer letter says and see the value year by year. Your numbers stay in this browser and are never sent to us.

Getting exchange rates…

Exchange rates couldn't be loaded, so offers in different currencies can't be compared. Set them to the same currency, or try again later.

Before you decide

  • Stock in a private company may be worth far less than its paper value, or nothing. Weigh it lower than cash.
  • Most stock vests only while you work there. A 1-year "cliff" means you get none if you leave in the first year.
  • A target bonus isn't guaranteed. Ask what share of the target people actually received last year.
  • Ask whether the sign-on bonus must be repaid if you leave within a year or two.
  • Compare the work too: growth, manager, flexibility and stability.

Check the market, then negotiate

  • Salary check: see where your pay sits for your role and location, with negotiation steps.
  • For tech roles at specific companies, Levels.fyi shows pay that people report, by level. Stretch Growth links to it and doesn't copy its data.
  • Use a better offer as leverage politely: share the numbers, ask if they can close the gap, and name the part that matters most to you.
